Neighborhood Bicycle Parade :)

Last night we had a bicycle parade with all the kids on our street. The kids were soooo excited and decorated their bikes, trikes and jeeps with balloons, streamers and of course Chloe added her boas. They were so cute riding (and some walking )down the sidewalks. We ended the night with Popsicles and smoothies. It was a great time. (Thanks for the idea Jen!)

Now a Day with the Nations' Cousins

Chloe has been begging to go to Nawna's house and swim with Caleb and Kenzie, so we headed to Van yesterday to spend the day at Aunt Rhea's pool. Chloe was swimming like a fish, I couldn't keep her on top of the water! Hayden was already tired when we got there but he lasted an hour or so before he crashed in the float :) Chloe and Caleb had a water fight with the hose and Kenize tied the boat behind her float and carried Princess Chloe all over the pool. We swam for hours, had Aunt Rhea's homemade ice cream and ended the night at Jerry's Pizza...yum! Another great day full of memories.

The Perfect Day...

What a perfect day...Chloe and I headed out for mommy and me day today. We did the usual, stopped by Sonic for a drink, the nail place for a pedi (they were too busy today) and headed for "The Touch the Man Store" more commonly known as Northpark Mall. My darling daughter started calling it "The touch the man store" when she was little bitty and scared to death of the big black statues in the middle of the mall. One day she worked up the courage to touch them and no matter what we tell her she knows it as the awful most embarrassing name...She's usually pretty quiet but it seems you could hear a pin drop as she always announces "Mommy, we're at the touch the man store!"...I have stopped explaining.

Anyway, our day there consists of Gymboree (of course), GapKids, The Toy Store, Macys and maybe Ann Taylor Loft if I am lucky. I don't go to Victoria's Secret anymore since she told me I looked like a beautiful ballerina one day :) We stopped at Build-a-Bear today b/c we saw the cutest spiderman suit in the window and she said we just had to get it for Hayden. We love to eat at PF Changs, swing by Target and head home to our boys. We pulled up in the driveway and the boys were on the mower almost finished with the yard. We grilled some burgers, swam in the spidey pool and had a country bath before coming in. (meaning I brought the baby soap out and showered them off with the hose!) Came in, got in our jammies, (Hayden's bear is precious in the spidey costume and he hasn't put it down!), watched Wizard of Oz and now everyone in the house is snoozing and I am listening to the most beautiful sound...SILENCE:) The perfect day!

Are We There Yet??????...Making Memories

We're there Now!!!!!!!

Well, the weary travelers are home...what a trip! We spent lots more time in the car back and forth to Sea World than we had planned but the kids did great and we had a great trip. I should have known we were in for it when we pulled into the Scurry Post Office on our way out (to ship ebay stuff of course) and Chloe asked if Sea World was behind that building!!!! Sea World was a hit of course. Chloe said her favorite part was the lazy river....which we could have done much closer!!!! But she said shamu and the dolpins came in a close second...which made me feel a little better about the season pass purchase :). Hayden just took it all in. He had the best time at the cabin we stayed in going up and down the stairs...again something we could have done much closer to home! Overall we had a great trip. Chloe, Hanna, Mimi and Bopaw ended the trip by putting on a show for everyone singing the songs Bopaw taught them in the car. We enjoyed being with my family and making memories...but the next few memories will have to be made at home...we won't be getting back in the car for a while! Are We there yet???????

Having fun in the stroller-Uncle Brad drives the stroller as fast as his truck!

It's Shamu!!!!!!!!!

In awe of the dolpins...

Whatcha doin??

Some of our happier moments together :)

Music to my ears...

Hayden has started singing bits of songs here and there lately, but while staying at Mimi and Bopaw's house he sang Jesus Loves Me start to finish! Always for the grandparents! Regardless of where he was, it was sweet music to my ears... Now he wants to sing to me at bedtime :)

Hayden's 2!!

I can't believe my baby is 2 years old or as he says "Supermans' 2". Superman did have a party yesterday with a bounce house, water balloons, beach balls galore and all his friends. It was a great and HOT day for a July party outside in Texas! The bounce house arrived at noon and he and supergirl jumped most of the day. Most of the pictures I have of him are with a sippy cup in his mouth. He got lots of goodies, a sand and water table, batman trike, dumptrucks, the fav...jammies!, books, a fishing pole, bouncy balls, tool bench, bat-mobile, $$$, too much to name and he was excited every time he opened a new one, however we had to wait until the bounce house was down before they were even a temptation for him. It was a lot of work and mom and dad were just as worn out as the superheroes but when I was rocking him to sleep tonight he said "Fun party"... That was all I needed to hear to make all the hard work worth it!!

Summer brings change!

This summer has brought big changes for Chloe...last year's swim lessons brought many tears and much bribery and persuading from mom and dad...this year she was like a fish. She begged Mr. Craig to let her go under the water every chance she got!!! She screamed every time she went down the slide. He started out going down with them, but she wanted to go by herself...When I asked her why she screamed, she said "it just makes it more fun!" Who'd have thought my shy little girl would turn out to be such a dare devil!

And finally...the days she's been waiting for... Chloe has been wanting to cut her hair short for quite some time and yesterday was her day! She was so excited she could hardly wait...she has checked the mirror many times today:) I was afraid Daddy was going to be upset, but he loved it too! Here's to cute hair!

Here's to new adventures!

The blog is off and running as am I, trying to get ready for a 2nd bday party :) I figured now is as good a time as any to start my online scrapbook! Stay tuned for upcoming adventures...
