10 Commandments

Our church gave away Bible Trivia games tonight and Hayden wanted to play right away.  His first question was to name as many of the 10 commandments as you can in a certain amount of time.  He was really thinking..." Don't steal, Don't kill somebody, Don't tell a lie....Don't Blow Cigarettes"!!!!!  I told him maybe we should add that one!

Tattling...oh the tattling

We went to Brad's Christmas Program tonight and it was awesome.  The kids enjoyed playing with Hanna and Andrew and all was great.  The drive home is about an hour and the kids were tired...there is of course the normal tattling that goes along with any car ride.  This however, was a new one.
Hayden:  "Mommmmmeeeeeee"
Me: What Hayden?
Hayden: "Chloe busted one of my bloodstreams!"

Hayden's Most Awesome First Dove Hunt!

Every year Daddy gets the camo, tents and guns packed and heads out for the weekend.  Every year, "Daddy, can I go?".  Well, this was his year and he couldn't have been more excited!  Daddy took him out of school a little early and headed out with Papa for his first Dove Hunt.  They went to the Mohr Ranch in Brady with the other men/boys of our church. It was supposed to rain all weekend but that just made it that much better to Hayden!  He loves loves rain, so the idea of sleeping in a tent in the rain was just the absolute best idea ever...EVER! 

Well, it did rain, which was great for the sleeping, but not for the birds.  Daddy got one, which was good enough for Hayden.  He said it was the most awesome, best trip ever!

I can't believe my baby is starting Kindergarten!!!  Where did the time go?  How could this be???  Who will play army men with me?  We've been together almost every day for 6 years and I'm sad to see this phase end.  BUT I am so excited for the next phase.  He couldn't be more excited about starting school!

3rd Grade Meet the Teacher!

I can't believe my baby girl is going into 3rd grade. It seems like yesterday I was teaching 3rd grade and she was wiggling around in my tummy! Wow! Time sure flies. She is so excited about finding out who her teacher is and who is in her class!

Surprise, surprise!

It has been such a great and fast summer!  Chloe and I always end the summer with a special girls day, but we started off the day with a surprise... Mimi!  I sent her to her room to get her clothes and there she was!

We headed off for a girls day at the American Girl Store.

Mimi paid to have her ears pierced...she didn't even cry ;)

Kindergarten Meet the Teacher

Well, we've been anxiously awaiting the news all summer. Mommy has been praying and praying over our teachers. Well...God listened and answered! Hayden is in Mrs. Zimmerman's class with lots of his buddies. He is so excited and so ready to start!!

OOOOOOOOOUCH!

Today we were out and about running some errands and I asked Chloe again if she wanted to get her ears pierced.  Now, this is something she doesn't like to talk about...at all.  She asked me one day if it hurt and I was honest with her...so it's not anything she wanted to do...ever.  Well, today, much to my surprise, she said "Yea, I think I will".  I couldn't believe it.  So, we went to Claire's and she picked out her earrings and hopped up in the chair.  She was so calm...so grown up!  Hayden on the other hand, was a nervous wreck!  It took forever because the girl kept running back and forth to help customers at the register.  I just knew she was going to back out,  but she didn't.  They did one ear at a time, but she held strong.  If I could only describe the face you made after the first one, it was shock, absolute shock and awe.  It really took your breath away, and you said "oooooooooouch, that really hurt!"  but you were a big girl and after about 30 seconds were the happiest 8 yr old in the world!

HAPPY 6th BDAY HAYDEN!!!

Wow! This goes down as the best day ever according to Hayden :) Score mommy! We surprised him with new bunkbeds and he couldn't have been more excited...until that is...I told him we were on our way to pick up Will for their first sleepover!!!!! We took the boys to Shenaniganz and partied all night!!

Fun on the 4th!

 Since we had our fun at Mimi's earlier this year and Chloe has had strep throat :(, we spent the actualy 4th by ourself this year. We decided to go to Snuffers and fireworks at the Harbor...even though we had fun together...we could have done fireworks better in our own backyard!

We love, love, love Summer! One of the best parts is the 4th of July at Mimi and Bopaw's house! They had the barge all decorated and we got to be in the parade again this year. The kids had a great time! We ate pizza and watched fireworks on the boat!
