Memorial Fun!

We had a great time this weekend! We spent the day Saturday at the church putting together our new playground and landscaping. The kids played and played together and then we had a swim party at Nat's house. We headed to Papa's after church for some swimming and grilling. We swam and swam and were in for a big surprise because Caleb and Kenzie were there too! We had the best time. Homemade ice cream and all! Chloe is still swimming like a fish and Hayden showed no fear, jumping off the diving board and going under every chance he got!

While we there Chloe's front tooth became really loose. She begged and begged for us to pull it and finally Eryka pulled it for her! The tooth fairy came and brought a $5 bill...she normally brings 4 quarters but the big front tooth was worth more! The other one is loose too...wonder how long it will make it?

Hayden's End of Year Program

Wow! I can't believe this year is already over! It flew by. Hayden has had a great year with Ms. Erin and has loved Friendship School. For their end of year program, they sang the yellow song and Hayden was the sun. He was all smiles as Daddy and Papa were there to watch him. They finished the night at Dairy Queen with his buddy Ross and Papa spent the night. Cotton Gin for breakfast the next morning made it a perfect weekend!

Mothers Day Weekend

What a great weekend...A Rangers Game, dinner at the lake and Chinese Food for lunch! We enjoyed being with our family so much and enjoyed cousin time. I am so blessed to be a mother to Chloe and Hayden. I love them more every day and pray that I will always be a mother they can be proud of!

Rangers Game

We had kind of a last minute idea to go to a Rangers Game tonight before it gets so hot. We invited Mimi and Bopaw, Bobba, Brad, Julie, Hanna and Andrew. It was the perfect night. The weather was perfect and the game was quick. Almost a little too quick. Hanna and Chloe even won the dot race! We had yummy ballgame food and enjoyed the awesome fireworks after the game. What a great night with our family!

Growing :)

On the way home from yet another shopping spree (teacher appreciation and mother's day...) Chloe asked me how beautiful heaven is. We've talked about heaven a lot since Nawna's death. We started talking about Nawna and how much fun she was having in heaven and then it got pretty deep and we had our first very real talk about heaven and hell. I have never pushed anything on her, never wanted to scare her into anything. I have kindof followed her lead and waited for her to ask questions when she was ready. Tonight she was full of questions and gave all the answers some really deep thought. It's so exciting to watch her grow up and see her spiritual growth. Even though she doesn't understand it all and she still has lots of questions, that precious child-like faith takes over and accepts it no matter what. I just pray that God gives me the wisdom to teach her and guide her as she grows.

May Madness!

This month is going to be a whirlwind of activities and we got off to a great start today! The kids have been working so hard on their songs in preschool choir and today we got to perform. The song was "If I were a butterfly" and Chloe was the Fuzzy wuzzy bear and Hayden was the elephant. They did super great! They each said a verse when they finished. I was so proud of them and all their buddies.

Tonight Hayden participated in the RAs Pinewood Derby Race at church...may not have the been the fastest but he sure loved making his batmobile with Daddy!
