We are so ready for fall around this house! Hayden is counting down to Halloween...Chloe is counting down to the Cotton Festival and Mama's just counting down to cooler weather. I never remember it being 107 the first week of school! C-razy! We're hoping for rain and a cool front (which will take us to the 90s) this weekend. Everyone will be in a much better mood :)

2nd Grade Here I Come!
Ready or not, here we come! She was all smiles and popped right out of bed this morning. Quite a change from sleeping til 10:00 every day. 6:00 came early!! I made her favorite breakfast...cinnamon rolls and eggs and we were ready and out the door on time! She got a bit anxious when we got to the parking lot and was worried she would have to flip her smiley face (even though she didn't once in Kinder or 1st!) but she was excited to see Mrs. Mack. Hayden was very sad that he wasn't going but we had a lot of fun on our last first day at home :)
On the Night Before 2nd grade...
Chloe was filled with all kinds of emotions tonight. Even though she knows most everyone in her class and already loves Mrs. Mack, she's still a bit anxious about tomorrow. We made her new memory box and it's ready to fill! She wanted Napolis for dinner - check, baths done - check, tickle-time with Daddy- check, teeth brushed-check...let's see...what else can I do to stall this??? It's hard to get back in a routine after staying up late and sleeping late, but we managed to get to the bed by 8:30. She opened her back to school book and we all read it together. Then Mommy surprised her with a new Sketchers Messenger bag! She was so excited. We all said prayers for her first day, including Hayden :), and tucked them in tight. After getting up twice, she was fast asleep, hopefully dreaming sweet dreams of the year to come.

Last Summer Fling
One of my favorite traditions... Last Summer Fling. We go to Meet the Teacher and then head out to a hotel! This year we headed back to The Hilton in Rockwall. We swam and swam, went to Shenaniganz for some bowling and mini-golf! It's such an exciting time to start a new school year but always sad to see the summer freedom go. We had a great time...Love my Family!!!!!!!
